Venture - Backed Companies Expanding
According to a study conducted for the National Venture Capital Association, venture-backed firms created 600,000 jobs nationwide from January 2001 through December 2003. Venture-backed companies employed 10.1 million workers and generated combined revenue of $1.8 trillion at the end of 2003. The study suggests that companies that receive venture capital in their formative years can turn into market leaders.
