Virgin Atlantic pilots to ballot for strike
Virgin Atlantic pilots will begin voting on a strike ballot May 24. Pilots' union Balpa, which represents most of the 750 pilots says that the workers gave up pay in the previous years to help the company, and that they want to be fairly compensated now. The company says that it made the union fair offers, and that it remains open to dialogue. Balloting will take four weeks, and if the pilots vote yes, it could be the airline's first pilots' strike.
