Manager Magazin had reported that the union reached an agreement with VW that would cut costs by $5.5-6.6 billion by 2025. Union leaders and the German automaker have been negotiating on quotas and factory investment, but VW is being pressured to cut expensive operations in Germany in order to shift to electric and autonomous cars.
