W. Va. hospital workers authorize strike
Workers at West Virginia's Cabell Huntington Hospital authorized a strike on Tuesday, if issues over health care and pension costs are not resolved through negotiation. The workers are represented by the Service Employees International Union District 1199. The contract expired on Monday, and negotiations are expected to begin on November 11. The union says that the hospital is asking for unreasonable concessions, while the hospital says that their offer is fair.
