Wal-Mart applauds B.C. ruling
A British Columbia Labour Relations Board handed Wal-Mart's Canadian branch a victory on Tuesday, ruling that that the United Food and Commercial Workers Union could not isolate ten employees in the store's Tire Lube Express department for the purposes of organization and unionization. Wal-Mart Canada plans to use the ruling to shut down at least one similar effort elsewhere in BC, in what will be the latest in a series of labor conflicts the retailer has engaged in within the last few years.
