Wal-Mart apologized over the weekend for helping fund a full-page ad in the Arizona Daily Sun depicting Nazi supporters burning books. A group of Wal-Mart supporters had placed the ad out of anger at proposed restrictions that would limit the building of Supercenters. A spokesperson for Wal-Mart stated that the company did not realize the people in the photo were Nazi supporters. Wal-Mart had provided up to $300,000 to the group that placed the ad.
