Wal-Mart to Pay $530 Million in Bonuses to U.S. Staff
Wal-Mart Stores Inc. announced it will pay $530 million in bonuses to U.S. workers in response to pressure to increase wages and improve working conditions. 813,759 eligible part- and full-time staff at Wal-Mart and its Sam's Club unit would receive payments averaging $651, and employees with 20 or more years with the company would receive an extra week's pay.
