Walmart cuts their COVID paid time off in half
On Tuesday, Walmart Inc. announced to U.S. hourly store employees and long-haul drivers that they would be reducing their paid leave for COVID-19. For employees required to quarantine or who test positive for COVID-19, they will now only be eligible for one week of paid time off as opposed to two. A Walmart spokesperson said that “workers who continue to be sick can potentially receive additional COVID-related pay for up to 26 weeks.”
