With 4,300 stores globally, the largest retailer Walmart will be hiring temporary workers for the holiday season. The estimated 600 new workers will be in distribution centers and stores. Current workers will get preference over the temporary workers when choosing hours. The retailer wants to emphasize customer service this season and will be opening more registers in an effort to do so.
