Washington state legislators introduce 'Domestic Workers Bill of Rights'
Washington state legislators are currently championing a bill aimed at protecting domestic laborers from abuse as well as ensuring adequate breaks and compensation. Earlier this week public hearings were held on the proposed legislation. The bill would require written contracts between domestic workers and employers, as well as forbid employers from firing workers without adequate notice. Additionally, a minimum wage would be established.
