West Coast Port Slowdown Raises Fears of Dockworkers Strike or Lockout
For the past couple of months, 20,000 dockworkers at West Coast ports have been working without a contract while negotiations to ratify a new one were underway. Now the employers? representative Pacific Maritime Association is accusing the dockworkers? union, International Longshore and Warehouse Union, of intentionally slowing down work at four West Coast ports.
