White House again delays healthcare mandate for employers
The Obama administration delayed another requirement out of the signature healthcare law. As of Monday, medium-sized businesses will have another year to offer their full-time employees healthcare coverage. Medium-size businesses include those with 50 ? 99 employees, but the change in policy only covers employers who are not already covering their full-time employees. In addition, large employers are only requires to offer coverage to 70% of their employees working 30 hours per week or more, and 95% by 2016. Small employers, those with fewer than 50 employees, are still not required to offer health care coverage to their employees regardless of whether they are working full- or part-time.
