White House, Companies Look for Ways to Hire Long-term Unemployed
Vice President Joe Biden plans to meet with the Human Resources Divisions of major companies including: Dow Chemical, Boeing, CVS Caremark and Citigroup to discuss how hiring practices can be changed to include employees who have been unemployed for a substantial amount of time. However, we have seen a decline in the long-term unemployment rate since December of 2013.
