White House seeks to end government pay freeze
The federal government is planning to end a two-year pay freeze and propose a 0.5% pay increase. The proposal will be included in the draft budget that will be sent to Congress in February. The raise will need the approval of Congress, where some legislators have called for the freeze to be extended. The increase would be below the change in cost of living.
