Window and door manufacturer, JELD WEN, announces layoffs that will affect workers at its Grinnell, Iowa facility
JELD WEN, a window and door manufacturer, has announced layoffs that will affect workers at the company’s plant in Grinnell, Iowa. The layoffs will reduce the company’s headcount by less than one percent, as the cuts will affect 152 employees, and JELD WEN employs 18,000 workers globally. The layoffs follow other cuts made earlier this year that were due to plant closures. JELD WEN permanently shut down operations at two facilities located in Wisconsin and California. The closure of the Hawkins, Wisconsin plant resulted in 338 employees being cut, and the Vista, California plant shutdown resulted in layoffs affecting 110 workers.
