Women feel work stress more than men
A recent study on work values and health found that women are at a higher health risk from workplace stress than men. Women who feel work stress have double the incidence of cardiovascular disease and use of addictive substances. A lead adviser on the study suggests that people improve health on the job by taking control of their workday and negotiating unacceptable conditions or problems with co-workers.
