Women work 39 days a year more than men, report says
According to the World Economic Forum’s new Global Gender Gap report, on average, women work 50 minutes more than men on a daily basis. These extra minutes accumulate to an average of 39 more days per year. The WEF also highlighted that the gap in economic opportunity is the largest it has ever been post-2008 and estimates that gender inequality will take 170 years to eliminate. Only 6 countries had instances where men worked more than women, three of which have evenly distributed parental leave between fathers and mothers. In the United Kingdom, women work 12 more days than men, but in India, Portugal, and Estonia, this number jumps to 50 days.
