Workers and employers face off at Supreme Court
Starting Monday the Supreme Court will take up its new set of cases, two of which may have significant repercussions on labor and employer relationships. One of the cases deals with public-sector unions? ability to collect dues in various situations. The other is regarding how unions are able to sign-up members in private employer workplaces. The Court has already accepted 47 cases, of which 28 will be related to employer or business rights. All of the cases should be ruled on by June of 2014.
