Workers Back on Job as Steel Plants Reopen
The U.S. steelmaking industry has been shrinking for some time due to the
closure of mills across the nation and the influx of cheaper foreign
steel. However, the International Steel Group (ISG) has been putting
previously laid off workers back on the job. ISG has been creating jobs
by buying fledgling firms and consolidating them into more efficient
operations.
