Workers' Comp Rate Cut Proposed at 2.2%
California business groups are unhappy with the meager decline in their workers' compensation premiums. This disappointment follows a massive overhaul of the program by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger aimed at controlling these costs. Insurance Commissioner John Garamendi said that employers would not see significant rate reductions until regulations needed to implement the legislation were completed.
