Workers' comp rates could go up
The two Massachusetts agencies that insure workers' compensation for companies have asked the state to approve rate increases. Rates would increase by an average of 19.3%. The state has rejected smaller increases for the past three years. Some say that the change in costs is necessary for employers to be able to afford insurance.
