Workers complain of harsh conditions in Amazon warehouse
Workers at an Amazon warehouse say that demand for fast work and bad working conditions caused workers to suffer from heat exhaustion and dehydration. Many of the workers were classified as temporary, and few were able to become permanent, despite assertions from the company. During the summer months, Amazon kept paramedics and ambulances outside of the warehouse for workers who were suffering because of the heat. Others say that the job, which pays $11-12 an hour, is a a good one, and that they deal with the conditions. Amazon says that they are very concerned about safety.
