Workers Go on Strike at Hammond Automotive Seats Plant
At 6am on Saturday morning in Hammond, Indiana, hundreds of workers participated in a walk-off demanding higher wages. Current workers are now paid an hourly wage between $11 and $14 to build seats for the Ford Assembly Plant in Chicago. Ongoing negotiations aim to raise the hourly cap of $16 that exists for all new employees.
