Workers representing over 30 labor unions gathered in front of the Mini Secretariat in Kaithal Monday staging a sit-in to protest against the May 19 police action on agitating workers. In the incident that occurred earlier this month, police used water cannons to evict the agitating workers. Lead by representatives from major auto-manufacturers, the protesters demanded that the 100 Maruti-Suzuki workers indicted during the incident be relieved of all charges.
