Workers raises dull in comparison to inflation
Considering the great resignation many employers gave out larger pay increases and bonuses yet the workers receiving those raises may not see their paychecks stretched much further. Inflation is the worst it's been in 40 years and workers will see rising costs in at least one area. In a survey published by Joblist, 2,700 employees in the U.S. received raises with nearly 60% of those getting a bump of less than 5%. However, inflation rose to 7% in December.
