Workers Saving Too Little to Retire
Even as the stock market and economy continue to improve, experts warn that many people are not saving enough money for retirement. A report found that 57% of workers had less than $25,000 saved for retirement, up from 49% in 2008. About 28% of respondents said that they had no confidence that they would be able to retire comfortably. Employees are not the only ones facing retirement problems, corporations are also trying to save money to pay pension costs for workers. While many people are aware of the problem of saving enough for retirement, it is unclear what the solution is.
