Workers worries over retirement security deepen
According to a new survey, worker confidence in their ability to retire comfortably has gone down. The survey found that only 23% of people said they were very confident about retirement, down from 46% in 2008. The survey also found that workers expect to work longer, if not for their entire lives. Analysts say that the downturn in confidence comes as a large generation gets closer to retirement and realizes they cannot afford to retire.
