Young Saudis See Cushy Jobs Vanish Along With Nation’s Oil Wealth
Now that oil prices have fallen from $100 a barrel and are fluctuating at close to $30 a barrel, young people in Saudi Arabia are beginning to realize that there may not be as many cushy jobs for them as there once was. Historically, citizens in Saudi Arabia have benefitted from free healthcare and education. In addition, many of them were able to get government jobs that were not very demanding. Now, citizens crowd job fairs concerned over the shrinking job market and the potential implementation of taxes.
