Young workers are quitting new jobs shortly after starting
In January a survey of more than 2,500 millennial and Gen Z job seekers conducted by The Muse found that 72% of young job seekers have regretted a new job after starting. They also found that 20% of those job seekers say they would quit a job within a month if it wasn't what they expected and another 41% would quit with just two to six months’ notice. The Muse CEO and founder called this feeling a “shift shock” as job seekers are demanding more from their employers. It is clear that attitudes around leaving a bad job even after a short period of time are changing.
