Like most forms of work union organizing has shifted to the virtual world due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has both been a benefit and struggle for workers hoping to organize. The pandemic has been a benefit to organizing workers as it has heightened national sensitivity to the way that workers are treated in the United States. However, the pandemic has also brought about high levels of unemployment and job insecurity reducing the willingness of many to fight to form a union.
