American Attendants OK Longer Day
Flight attendants at American Airlines approved a longer workday, which will begin on August 1st. There is fear that the airline will layoff more than 200 attendants in order to cut costs and save itself from bankruptcy. The Association of Professional Flight Attendants said that laying off attendants was not a certainty, and that the airline would have to give notice of any plan to do so.
