Firms Defend Moving Tech Jobs Overseas
Concerned that the government may try to restrict the movement of U.S. technology jobs overseas, leading American computer companies have released a report defending their actions. Companies have long claimed that moving operations overseas, known as "offshoring", is necessary to sustain future profits. In their report companies also warn that efforts to protect American jobs would likely backfire leading to a trade-war and stifling economic growth.
