Record Number to Run Out of Unemployment Benefits
According to a report from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, 375,000 jobless workers will run out of unemployment benefits this month. Although the unemployment rate has dropped, job growth has been slow. Congress has extended unemployment benefits twice already, and many Republicans are reluctant to grant another extension.
