Obama Orders Federal Contractors to Provide Workers Paid Sick Leave
Yesterday, President Obama signed an executive order that will require all federal contractors in 2017 to offer their employees up to 7 days of paid sick leave. Obama hopes that this law will encourage private companies to offer similar benefits for their employees. Some argue that the president is avoiding the legislative process by issuing these executive orders in an effort to create more labor reform.
