Carpenters’ union pauses their picketing
The Northwest Carpenters Union has announced that they will stop picketing activity until further notice. The union voted to go on a labor strike and to picket after rejecting wages and benefits that were offered by the Associated General Contractors of Washington. Reported illegal picketing activity has caused the stop. Some of the activities reported include threats of violence, harassment of union members crossing the picket lines, and near physical altercations. Workers will continue to strike, and an update will be given on picketing activities on September 27th.
