On Wednesday, an audio was leaked from a mandatory anti-union meeting held inside Amazon's JFK8 warehouse in Staten Island. On the recording a union avoidance consultant said that if workers chose to unionize negotiations with Amazon could start as low as minimum wage. Union activists have confirmed that their union election has been scheduled to be held between March 25th and March 30th at the JFK8 warehouse. An attorney representing the activists said that he believed the consultant’s words did amount to a threat of retaliation.
