Grocery workers in California win huge pay raises
On Thursday, Southern California grocery workers got a major win with ratifying a new three-year contract. Only two weeks earlier, the United Food and Commercial Workers union representing the 47,000 employees authorized a strike. The contract brings pay raises ranging from 19%-31% and part time employees guaranteed 28 hours weekly, up from 24.
