Canadian Rail Workers Go on Strike
About 5,000 workers went on strike from CN, Canada's largest railway company and a major North American freight hauler, after talks with the union ended without an agreement. The workers are represented by the CAW (Canadian Auto Workers), Canada's largest private-sector union. Workers are dissatisfied with the offered salary increases as well as certain working-conditions like disciplinary matters.
