Cheap Robots May Shift Car Making From China to U.S.: Magna CEO
As wages in large manufacturing countries such as China continue to rise, it is expected that car manufacturers may begin to move production to North America and Europe where robots can be implemented. Boston Consulting Group published a study that states by 2025, costs associated with manufacturing labor are expected to fall between 18 and 33%. The CEO of auto supplier Magna believes that cars will begin to be manufactured closer to where the market is.
