Disney World to return to the bargaining table with its unions after workers reject most recent contract offer
In October, Disney's previous labor contract expired which has led to negotiations with its various unions over the past few months. Last week, Disney proposed a contract offer that would raise pay incrementally and include additional retirement and paid leave benefits. However, workers voted to reject that contract offer, demanding larger pay increases to meet the rising costs of living in Orlando. Disney workers are currently prohibited from striking due to a temporary contract extension, so negotiations will continue without labor actions.
