Companies are becoming more family-friendly by offering programs like flexible hours, on-site day care centers, and telecommuting. Working Mother magazine has recently published its annual list of the "100 Best Companies for Working Mothers." The companies on the list have distinguished themselves not only by offering family-friendly programs but by making them available to as many workers as possible. At some companies such benefits are limited to certain workers, and their usage is sometimes discouraged by management.
