California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has publicly stated that he would be willing to intervene in the supermarket strike if called upon. Some officials from the United Food and Commercial Workers Union said that they would welcome involvement from the governor as a way to spur negotiations, but others question Schwarzenegger's neutrality.
