Governor Willing to Intervene in Strike
California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has publicly stated that he would be willing to intervene in the supermarket strike if called upon. According to the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, the governor has not responded to prior requests to become involved. Some officials from the United Food and Commercial Workers Union said that they would welcome involvement from the governor as a way to spur negotiations, but others question Schwarzenegger's neutrality.
