There is growing concern among employees that their workplace may be causing health hazards such as cancer. However, even with the use of expensive medical investigation, it is often difficult to establish a relationship between the disease and something in the workplace environment. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health gets over 400 requests per year to investigate workplaces for potential health risks and several companies are facing lawsuits from employees who believe that they somehow got cancer from their jobs.
