Labor organizer arrested outside of Amazon warehouse for trespassing
A labor organizer, Christian Smalls, was arrested on Wednesday after being accused of trespassing while delivering food to warehouse workers. Of the ordeal, Small said, “he brought food on Wednesday afternoon for current employees to distribute, something he has done for months. The break room meals are the ALU’s chance to share literature and build relationships with workers.” An Amazon spokesperson said that Smalls has repeatedly trespassed despite multiple warnings. Smalls claims that his arrest was just Amazon trying to increase the intimidation factor for their workers who will soon be voting on unionization.
