Lockheed Martin workers ratify new contract
Approximately 5,000 members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers District 776 in Fort Worth, TX voted on Sunday to ratify a new contract with Lockheed Martin Corp. Negotiations on the labor deal have been ongoing since February and just last week the company said that rising costs have bogged down their contract talks. The new contract took effect April 25th and included a 16% general wage increase over the next four years, a $4,000 per person ratification bonus, and cost of living adjustments.
