MTA Drivers Authorize Walkout if Talks Fail
The contract for drivers with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority expires at the end of June, and workers have authorized a walkout if a new contract is not agreed upon. This is a very serious matter, as a strike in 2000 shut down the transit system for 32 days.
