Sororities can be networking tools
Women are increasingly using their sorority ties to network and give them an edge in the workplace. The number of women in management and professional positions has increased, and many of those in these top positions are looking to help their 'sisters' achieve success as well. These increased opportunities may be why membership in sororities has been increasing. However, critics complain that sorority networking is unfair and takes away from merit-based hiring.
