Strike grounds almost 300 flights at Frankfurt
Frankfurt's airport is at a standstill Friday after 200 ground crew workers went on strike, grounding almost 300 flights. The strike was called after the workers trade union, GdF, was unable to negotiate terms with the airport's operator, Fraport, on a new pay structure. Although GdF representatives state there are no plans for the strike to continue over the weekend, they reserve the right for further action next week if their demands are not met.
