Suit Claims Group's Staff Is Pressured on Religion
Former and current employees have sued the Salvation Army, claiming that the organization put religious pressure on its staff when it came to publicly financed social service activities. Employees claim that they were prevented from distributing contraception or giving abortion counseling. The Salvation Army has said that their policies are consistent with laws governing the employment practices of religious institutions.
