Washington State Governor aids union negotiations
Washington State Governor Jay Inslee has restarted negotiations between Swedish Health Services and its union. Inslee intends to aid the groups in coming to a contract agreement following a strike that took place last month involving nearly 8,000 employees. The announcement from Inslee’s office was released following the CDC recommendation that U.S. hospitals get ready for the spread of the coronavirus. Inslee plans to bring in a new mediator from MIT to guide each side through four days of negotiations.
